페미니즘 출판사 봄알람은 2016년 ‘강남역 살인 사건’을 계기로 펴낸 책 «우리에겐 언어가 필요하다—입이 트이는 페미니즘»을 시작으로 문을 열었다. 이후 여성운동의 역사를 다룬 책, 낙태죄 폐지 운동, 대리모 문제, 성폭력 피해자의 기록 등을 출간하며 문제의식을 이어가고 있다.
현실에 즉각적으로 개입해 여성의 삶을 바꾸어낼 수 있는 시도를 하자는 신조 아래 여성들이 필요로하고 또 주목해야 하는 이야기를 꾸준히 책으로 펴내고 있다. 또한 강연과 소모임 등 다양한 방법으로 연대 관계망을 구축해가고자 한다.
Baume à l'âme is a feminist publishing company in Korea. It opened its door in 2016 when it published «Reclaim the Language: How to Deal with a Sexist». Baume à l'âme later published books on abortion rights, surrogacy, the history of Korean feminism and the record of a victim of sexual crime, all to promote awareness of those issues and fight against misogyny.
Baume à l'àme holds the belief that we must take action immediately to change the lives of women by introducing content that they need or should pay attention to. It plans to continue to build solidarity by holding lectures and seminars in the near future.
